After studying thousands of worn and discarded Kevlar® string gloves, from many different end-users, we believe 50% of standard Kevlar® gloves are eventually thrown away because of holes in the index finger, and/or thumb. Another 25% of gloves fail in the upper-palm area of the glove. Our challenge was to engineer a glove that added extra protection to these critical areas while maintaining the comfort, dexterity, and cost effective protection features that make our regular Kevlar® glove so popular. Our new "Trigger Finger" does just that. The addition of Black Kevlar® Kleen filament yarn into the thumb, index finger and upper palm, increases the cut resistance by 36% and the abrasion resistance by 34% in these areas. By choosing not to increase the weight of the entire glove, we retain the flexibility, comfort, and lower cost.
