The use of toxicity reduction agents is essential in the proper treatment and subsequent handling of hazardous material spills and process materials. A hazardous material has not been properly dealt with until it has been rendered harmless. Neutralizers minimize the risk of dealing with hazardous spills and wastes. Neutralized products and/or absorbents can be considered non-hazardous and may be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

This powder quickly and efficiently absorbs and immobilizes ammonia and formaldehyde solution spills. It has been developed to be completely compatible with the neutralization system and is simple to use. Residues are easy to dispose of. Volatility is reduced, and effective reodourant controls formaldehyde vapour emissions. When used correctly, it is 5 to 10 times as cost effective as conventional synthetic adsorbants. It is non-toxic and biodegradable.

Use 20 - 40 grams per litre of spilled ammonia or formaldehyde solution.
